Quick Updates

Weather Conditions

Season: Autumn

With the cooling season of Autumn, Ice-types are starting to re-emerge from their hibernation as Ghost-, Normal-, and Flying-types swarm in the largest numbers they will all year. In comparison, wild Fire- and Bug-type populations are falling in number. The migration of Flying-types to the south in search of warmer weather has also started, as Istin City starts to re-freeze and Autumn marks the beginning of Cypwater Point's rainy season. Handlers and Rogues alike should be wary: Ghost-type powers are boosted during this season, at the cost of being more prone to their triggers.

Wolfrum: The Negotiator

Wolfrum is very aware of societal niceties and cues. He is adept at reading the situation, and reacting accordingly; he can be intense, and distant, and somewhere in between without needing much more than the words and reactions of others. He knows how to pick his fights, and he is frighteningly good at it; not many survive against the Barries unless they know how and when to push, and it could be said that Wolfrum has almost a supernatural tendency for knowing when to ask for things and when to comply with ridiculous demands.

He himself would tell you that that is not the case. He simply knows the city, after all, having grown up in its alleys and its streets and its color when he was but a young boy; and his words in Council meetings are treated as valuable currency. He speaks when he has something to contribute and in other cases, not at all.

(He is, essentially, an introvert that has learned how to socialize, and depending on the situation there is nothing more dangerous than a man who knows when his silence is gold.)
Wolfrum is the best man to run the Seaway City, and everyone that works with him knows it. He knows the little old ladies that informally rule their neighborhoods with iron fists; he knows the prominent figures in the small courts, and who to speak to about a particular festival. He knows by name pretty much everyone who works at the port and deals with foreign ships, or at least, has heard of them; he is an expert at dealing with those types of delegates.

(Rhonda Gibbs is a subtle poison in his city’s veins, and he is slowly but surely testing out the spider’s web.)
  • Wolfrum is definitely a community, if not a household, name. He helps out where he can, and his is an on-hands sort of government. He works closely with the Guardians, whether they are sworn to him or not, and often is the one who lends the weight of his name if he judges their missions and their cause worthy.
  • His lapras is often seen helping out at port with natural disasters or other emergencies.
  • He also tries to keep the Barries and the more ridiculous and outlandish of their influences in line, so that the Guardians of his city can do what work they can. To those sworn into his service, he works with - and protects - them as best he can.
Anger Points:
  • Unnecessary interference with his Guardians’ work. It is one thing for a Barrie to do it, and another entirely for someone who has no right to be demanding things of his people to be doing so.
  • Impulsivity. It matters not whether it stems from immaturity, or inexperience, or otherwise; as a man who knows the value of waiting to speak, it… irks him, for someone to rush headlong into a situation without considering the consequences.
  • Smugglers, and those from other nations who think to sneak past him. He is the Councilman of a port city, and those that try to take advantage will find themselves regretting their decision immensely.
