Quick Updates

Weather Conditions

Season: Autumn

With the cooling season of Autumn, Ice-types are starting to re-emerge from their hibernation as Ghost-, Normal-, and Flying-types swarm in the largest numbers they will all year. In comparison, wild Fire- and Bug-type populations are falling in number. The migration of Flying-types to the south in search of warmer weather has also started, as Istin City starts to re-freeze and Autumn marks the beginning of Cypwater Point's rainy season. Handlers and Rogues alike should be wary: Ghost-type powers are boosted during this season, at the cost of being more prone to their triggers.

Full Name: Felicia atte Wode
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual

Class: Order Rogue
Starting City: Maritime Industrial Park
Patron or Trick Lord: Trictess Valarie Barrie
Notches: Lv.01 [ 0 / 5 ]
Total Level: Lv.01 [ 0 / 5 ]
Condition: Fine
Aptitudes

Overall Appearance:
Felicia seems to be unremarkable at first glance; plain brown hair, average height, pale ivory skin. Felicia is all pointy elbows and knees, and perhaps slightly on the slimmer side of healthy, if one fails to notice the wiry muscle underneath. Felicia is a woman that works hard and eats little; but she functions, and she survives.

And surviving is really, really important – especially when the law isn’t exactly on her side, and she’s still to find her place within the Order. As she’s usually busy with something or other, it isn’t uncommon to see her with bruises or scratches from when she’s inevitably gotten herself into trouble. Again, those close to her add in exasperation, because her line of work is often dangerous. She wears her visible injuries with what might almost be observed as pride – chin up, chest out, teeth bared in either a grin or a threat.

The rogue has a strong jaw and angular cheekbones, and her sharp features only seem to amplify further when she smiles, brown mischievous eyes glittering in mirth. Her smiles are crooked, but sharp, much like a wild and fiercely competitive animal. They’re often smug, too. It’s insufferable. She’s insufferable. Of course, if she’s told that – she’ll just snort, maybe laugh if the situation calls for it. It’s the human thing to do.

The rogue stands at an average five foot five inches. She is neither too tall or too short, and thankfully, this helps her in finding items of clothing for cheaper prices and without locating some sort of specialist. Longer legs wouldn’t have hurt, even if she was already a pretty leggy girl, but she supposes she has to make do with what she has. Her stance is careful and practised, though for all intents and purposes she seems lackadaisical and borderline relaxed to someone who isn’t paying attention. In later life, she’s likely going to end up developing a curved spine from mastering her weapon of choice – if she lives that long.

Felicia's skin is free of wrinkles thanks to her youth, but it certainly isn't flawless. Her calloused hands indicate her hard-working nature, and the freckles dotting a constellation on her face and body indicate it wasn't all indoors. If she can afford some extra comforts, she’ll generally seek to smooth down what she can get away with without sacrificing what she considers useful. She is not a delicate broken bird, but if your opponents underestimate her, it can certainly tip the odds in her favour.

There are a few scars to speak of; most were earned by her travels or random isolated incidents. The worst scars are on her back (visual reference, slight nsfw), which she remembers all too well. They aren’t terribly out of place on an adventurer, but the jagged lines completely cross her back, cascading down-and-left from her right shoulder.

Felicia likes a little colour in her outfits, but she values comfortable and practical clothing – especially considering she’s forever moving about the place, and she isn’t terribly keen on stopping any time soon. It’d be a right pain to wear holes in a new pair of shoes or dirty up a dress, after all. Packing light at the present means the useless stuff gets left behind or used in some other way. Dresses cut up for make-shift bandages. Or blankets, when it gets cold out. Some of the scrap cloth ends up in her boots when the weather gets chillier, too, though this has only come into play in the times Felicia has left Cypwater.

A rogue’s finery lies within her armour and weaponry, in her disguises, and in her Pokémon. Sometimes, it’s a combination of all three. Felicia’s draw length is twenty seven inches, so a suitable bow would be between sixty six and sixty eight inches. Her former bow was perfectly suited to her, and more durable than most she’d owned over the years, and she finds herself mourning the loss of familiarity at times.
Distinguishing Features:
  • Freckles for years.
  • Haggard looking spearow child.
Overall Personality:
Felicia is incredibly driven, and if she wants something, she damn well intends to put up a fight for it. This can cause some pretty bold behaviour which, combined with a set of morals firmly wedged somewhere on the other side of the planet, can cause her to respond unpredictably to the preconceptions of those who expect her to behave otherwise. She's incredibly stubborn and strong-willed and doesn't hesitate to butt heads with people who don't agree with her when she deems it important. Once the girl forms her opinion on something or someone, it’s hard to shake. Felicia has been this way for a long time, but this way of being has really driven itself into her over and over again through the years.

Felicia puts on a strong, unshakeable front. Nothing seems to scare or shame her outwardly, and this has come to serve her well as she’s grown up. Felicia is somewhat reserved, or so it seems, but she’s generally happy to meet new people. That said, she’s likely to be wary or even suspicious if she has to do it without any of her existing friends there with her. She has a habit of fixating on the few people that earn her trust. Loyal to a fault, albeit just as protective to the point where it verges on possessive.

Outside of the whole roguery business, Felicia can be a pretty amiable person. She’s not forgotten how to be nice or anything, but it just so happens to be that being ‘nice’ doesn’t help her for the most part. She is only one of many who confuse being ‘nice’ with being ‘weak’, but they’re certainly not mutually exclusive. Felicia’s a fan of the dark and what comes with it – it’s all so interesting. Her morbid fascination occasionally leaks over into her dreams, too, but she’s since grown used to it.

Felicia is, to put it bluntly, selfish. Every decision she makes is carefully planned out, and she doesn't tend to do anything unless it would be of some benefit to her. That said, she and those she holds dear always come first – surviving no matter what happens and regardless of what she has to do to make that happen. Felicia is also particularly bad at holding grudges, and has been known to remember an ill-spoken word for years and years only to act on her revenge when the incident has been forgotten. It is this part of her that is most dangerous. That, and her intelligence. Few things are truly useless to Felicia, and she’s able to find a use for anything she gets her hands on… even if it’s not quite the intended use of the item. Or Pokémon. Or situation. Sometimes, it turns out a lot better than she’s expecting – even if she has to spit in someone’s eye to do it.

To Felicia, everything comes at a price. Depending on her mood, sometimes the price is just a hot meal and a place to stay for a while. Sometimes it’s money. Sometimes it’s something she’s got her eye on Or a Pokémon. Whatever she can get, really. This said, a rogue denied payment forgoes her loyalty to her previous ‘employer’ and Felicia will pursue it. Whether that means taking something of the mission’s value or simply outright taking a life (or undoing her work, in some
cases), Felicia will not let that slide.
History:
    NPCs

Felicia was born the seventh child of an already large family, deep within Cypwater Point. Her father, the wayward son of a noble family, had left his family at the young age of sixteen after a fight concerning his future, and soon met Felicia’s future mother performing at a local tavern. Finding himself enamoured with the travelling bard, he practically begged to come with her and protect her. Of course, she laughed at first. The man had to be joking – he didn’t look like he had even slept rough a night in his life, but she humoured him nevertheless. After catching his first Pokémon, the two of them were off – and things quickly escalated from there. By the time Felicia’s father had felt like he’d mastered the bow and arrow, he was already the father to three children. The family had only settled after the second, and both parents took up jobs in order to make ends meet – as children were expensive, and it was dangerous to take them on their journey when the Slave Trade thrived.

Felicia’s first memory was when she accidentally poisoned her younger brother. The two of them had been playing outside when Felicia had discovered a pretty looking plant. Naturally, since children have a knack of putting things in their mouth to learn about them, this is what her brother did. And then he collapsed, unable to breathe. The plant’s poison would have been lethal if Felicia hadn’t ran straight home to her parents in fear. Luckily, her brother survived thanks to the timely intervention from her mother and father and that memory sticks vividly in her mind. This incident was what led her to at least restrain herself from causing mass chaos by learning about, but this ultimately was the first of many incidents that would cause her to separate herself from her kin.

As a child, Felicia had a closer relationship with her father, who passed on his knowledge in Archery to the young child and future rogue, and pretty much everything else she grew to learn. With thunderous ambition, Felicia aimed to outmatch even her father, and having started at an earlier age, Felicia got used to the feel of the bow in her hands far quicker than he did. Between the odd jobs her father was picking up and the stories her mother told (alongside the well beloved acting of the ‘atte Wode’ children), they family made just about enough money to keep the roof above their heads and food in their mouths.

As an older child Felicia didn’t slow down much. Her future goals had taken root in her mind, often to the point where she could become disruptive if her favourite activity and long-time interest was impeded in any way; particularly in the times where her bow snapped or the family ran out of bowstrings. She could usually weasel herself out of the trouble she inevitably caused with some sweet talking and an innocent smile, but her increasingly manipulative nature was a cause of concern for her father. Her mother encouraged the charm, of course, and Felicia’s confidence only grew.

Despite the fact that Felicia had a lot of siblings, she never did quite bond with them as much as most big families did. Perhaps they’d grown fearful of her over the years, in her odd demeanour, but she found herself caring less as they excluded her more often. Instead of joining her mother in whatever she did at home (because, honestly, Felicia knew her mother was too busy to care outside of using her for her own ends), Felicia took an interest in travelling around Cypwater on her own to learn things for herself.

But as she aged, she began to see a world she didn't like.

A world where rich people laughed and looked down on poor, where nobody truly cared enough to change the status quo. Where rapists and corrupt officials could run away scot-free... no. Felicia didn't like that at all. So, she set to change it. Felicia grieved the loss of her innocence, but as she strung up her bow again she planned to deal with it in a different way than her parents had. She was not content to sit back in complacency.

That particular bow wouldn’t last for much longer, and it wasn’t because of the typical wear and tear associated with the fact that she’d been particularly aggressive with stringing it up that morning. With little faith left in humanity, Felicia found herself starting to become an angry teenager with feelings to work out, and things would only get worse later in the day. She’d went hunting with her father, on one of their regular multiple day hunting trips, and the two had found themselves caught up in some event that Felicia has completely dissociated herself from by this point. (Although, for historical purposes, it was an attack by bandits, who were interested in perhaps stealing the young woman as well – good profit, in their eyes.)

In the ensuing chaos that ensued in their attempted escape, the two were injured, and the family would lose two of their prized hunting Pokémon – particularly, their loyal Pidgeot and Mightyena, the nicknames Felicia has done her best to forget. Felicia was the one to hold her father’s hand as he died soon after; and she was the one to bury him, for she had no Pokémon nor the strength to haul his body all the way back home. She has no idea how she’d managed to eventually return to Cypwater, either, but it was without the bulk of her supplies and heavily wounded. She had been found unconscious by the outskirts, a snapped bow in her hands and with her father’s cloak wrapped tightly around wounds that almost claimed her life, too.

Survival became her priority as she healed, and after, and she worked tirelessly on bettering herself in every way she could. The Guardians would never sanction her methods, at least not those that worked within the law, but the now teenaged rogue-in-training had ideas of her own. Soon she would deal her own form of justice on the world. It just so happened, however, that the Order of the Masque had plans for her as well.
