Quick Updates

Weather Conditions

Season: Autumn

With the cooling season of Autumn, Ice-types are starting to re-emerge from their hibernation as Ghost-, Normal-, and Flying-types swarm in the largest numbers they will all year. In comparison, wild Fire- and Bug-type populations are falling in number. The migration of Flying-types to the south in search of warmer weather has also started, as Istin City starts to re-freeze and Autumn marks the beginning of Cypwater Point's rainy season. Handlers and Rogues alike should be wary: Ghost-type powers are boosted during this season, at the cost of being more prone to their triggers.

Retirement Rules:
When transferring pokemon, it is important to note that any member of the Harper’s Trio count as more than one pokemon slot due to rarity. The Lucario line counts as two (2) pokemon, and the Roselia and Noctowl lines each count as three (3) pokemon. Any pokemon with alternate colouration such as shiny or event colouration automatically is worth an extra pokemon slot (+1).

Staff reserve the right to refuse a transfer of a Harperian Trio pokemon or may add a condition of said Harperian Trio being locked to storage if the recipient’s writing is not of sufficient quality to have potentially earned one on their own or if the recipient’s character is currently unsuited to a Harperian Trio member as per staff’s private guidelines.

The following limitations apply to retirement sales and transfers based on site activity and seniority, measured here based on maximum achieved character levels.
    • If your highest level character is level 5 or below:
You may transfer or sell and receive proceeds for up to:
        1) One (1) Pokemon regardless of rarity or level AND 300 gold or items whose cumulative worth adds up to 300 gold or a combination of items and gold.

        OR

        2) Up to 850 gold or other items whose cumulative worth adds up to 850 gold, or any combination of items and gold.
    • If your highest level character is level 6-10:
You may transfer or sell and receive proceeds for up to:
        1) Four (4) Pokemon regardless of rarity or level AND 1,200 gold or items whose cumulative worth adds to 1,200 gold or a combination of items and gold

        OR

        2) up to 4,500 gold or other items whose cumulative worth adds up to 4,500 gold or any combination of items and gold
    • If your highest level character is level 11-20:
You may transfer or sell and receive proceeds for up to:
        1) Ten (10) Pokemon regardless of rarity or level AND 4,500 gold or items whose cumulative worth adds to 4,500 gold or a combination of items and gold

        OR

        2) up to 10,000 gold or other items whose cumulative worth adds up to 10,000 gold or any combination of items and gold
    • If your highest level character is level 21+:
You may transfer or sell and receive proceeds for up to:
        1) Fifteen (15) Pokemon regardless of rarity or level AND 6,000 gold or items whose cumulative worth adds to 6,000 gold or a combination of items and gold

        OR

        2) up to 20,000 gold or other items whose cumulative worth adds up to 20,000 gold or any combination of items and gold
Other Information to keep in mind when transferring goods:
    • Check the General Store, the Specialty Shoppes, and the item fair market values thread for the worth of the items you wish to transfer.
    • Unhatched eggs (regardless of egg count or contents) are considered to be worth 500 gold; rare candies are worth 75g.
    • If you are unsure of the gold worth of an item you wish to transfer, please consult an administrator.
    • Additionally, you may choose to sacrifice some of your starting equipment on your new character in order to increase the cap of goods you are permitted to transfer. All new players start with:
Armors and weapons appropriate to their class
        (1) Pokecard
        (5) Pokeballs
        (3) Potions
        (2) Rare Candies
        (3) Randomized Berries
        (1) Randomized, Unhatched Egg
Any combination of these above goods may be given up so that your new character may receive more goods from the retired character.
    Rules regarding the transfer:
    • You cannot increase the cap to trade additional pokemon; however, you may increase the gold cap in order to transfer over any unhatched eggs. Eggs do not count for the pokemon limit, but do count for the gold limit.
    • Any attempts to circumvent these limitations will result in the denial of any transfer of goods to your new character and will result in a warning to that member. All un-transferred items will go into retirement with your old character, no exceptions.
    • Any gold / items garnered through retirement sales are still subjugated to the gold limit.
Active to Active transfers:
Transfers between currently-active characters under a single player who are not within a 5-level bracket of each other are limited in sale threads. This means that if your level 8 is selling items, only a certain portion of the profits from those items may go to your level 1 character per sale. All other profits will go to the character the goods are sold from. In this way, we ensure that newer characters are allowed to grow effectively rather than becoming too wealthy or privileged too quickly.

    These limitations are as follows:
Up to 2000g in any combination of items and gold. Contact an admin for prices on elemental gear/unlisted gear.

      OR

Up to (4) pokemon (or eggs) of any rarity whose levels do not exceed the recipient’s team average by greater than three levels*
These may be combined and balanced based on the valuation of a single pokemon or egg as being worth 500 gold for transfer purposes. This valuation is regardless of rarity for transfer rules. Thus, you could transfer one (1) pokemon/egg and 1,500 in gold/items, two (2) pokemon/egg and 1,000 in gold/items, et cetera.

There are no limitations on profits earned by sale of a character’s items going to the character itself! These apply only where the profits are being moved to a character other than the one from which goods for sale are originating.
*If a pokemon’s level exceeds this rule by less than ten levels, they count as two pokemon for transfer. If the pokemon’s level exceeds this rule by greater than ten levels, they count as three pokemon for transfer. In either case, the pokemon may be locked to the character’s storage until the character’s strongest pokemon reaches the equivalent level at staff discretion depending upon writing quality, number of pokemon already owned, and level differential.
